MXT200 Tech Sights Aperture Sight for Ruger American/Marlin Rimfire Rifles

The MXT200 Tech Sights for Marlin and Ruger American rifles is windage and elevation adjustable and fits all compatible rifles drilled and tapped for scope mounts.  The MXT200 features a rear sight assembly with elevation adjustable aperture with detent stops, as well as a front sight tower and post.

Compatibility

The MXT200 is designed for Marlin rimfire rifles including (but not limited to) the following models:

• Marlin 917
• Marlin 925
• Marlin 980
• Marlin 981
• Marlin XT
• Ruger American rimfire rifles

Before ordering, verify  that your rifle has the factory front sight and the threaded holes in the top of the receiver. If your rifle does not have these features, a gunsmith will have to drill and tap two holes in the receiver for the rear sight and one threaded hole in the barrel for our front sight.

Installation

1. Make sure the firearm is unloaded with magazine removed.  Lock the bolt in the open position.  Never install sights on a loaded firearm.
2. Remove the original front sight.
3. Apply thread locker to the 6-48 front sight screw (included).
4. Install the front sight tower and tighten the screw.
5. Apply thread locker to the two rear adapter plate screws, and install the rear sight adapter plate.  
6. Place the rear sight assembly on the adapter plate.  
7. Insert the lock block assembly into the left side of the rear sight assembly.  Apply thread locker and install retaining nut on right side of the rear sight assembly.
8. Move the rear sight assembly to the desired position, and tighten the retaining nut.  The rear sight should be securely attached to the adapter plate.
9. Enjoy shooting your upgraded rifle
