Fulton Flashlight Replacement Parts Kit MIL-REPL

The Fulton MX-991/U right angle flashlight has been manufactured for over 60 years, and has been one of the most popular military surplus flashlights in the world.  Sometimes we come across an older light that needs a few parts to bring it back to life.  This parts kit is for Fulton military spec flashlights (MX-991/U and MX-993/U).  Some parts may be compatible with other models.

Spare PR6 Bulb

Most modern production models of Fulton flashlights use the PR6 bulb.  This bulb should also work in any N47 MX-991/U right angle flashlight that utilizes two AA/C/D batteries in series at 3.0 volts DC.

Rubber Gaskets and O-Rings

Rubber parts can wear out, and when they do, they make your flashlight vulnerable to water intrusion.  A set of replacement gaskets and o-rings keep the electronics of your MX-991/U right angle flashlight dry and reliable.

Clear Lenses

A lens is required in front of the MX-991/U right angle flashlight reflector to ensure a waterproof barrier between the elements and your bulb.  A clear lens is included to replace a cracked, scratched, or missing factory lens.  A clear diffuser is also included, which breaks up and scatters the beam of your flashlight for more, softer light coverage.

Color Filters

In addition to being useful for signaling, included color filters can also affect the functionality of your MX-991/U right angle flashlight.

  • White filter: Converts your flashlight into a glowing lantern.
  • Red filter: Allows you to use your flashlight while retaining your night vision, after your eyes have adjusted to a dark environment.
  • Amber filter: Reduces glare by cutting blue-wavelength light.  Helps reduce eye strain.
  • Blue filter: Helps contrast dark liquids, particularly lubricants on leaking equipment, or blood when tracking a wounded game animal.
  • Green filter: Not as good as red at protecting low-light vision, but will do so without startling fish or attracting insects.
