The Fenix PD32R is a compact rechargeable tactical flashlight built for users who want powerful illumination with simple, quiet operation. Its Luminus SFT40 LED produces up to 1,400 lumens and a maximum beam distance of 344 meters, making it useful for outdoor activities, work, emergency preparedness, and everyday carry.
Unlike flashlights with separate tactical and mode switches, the PD32R uses a single silent multifunction tail switch to control momentary activation, constant-on operation, four brightness levels, and instant strobe. Its included 3,400mAh rechargeable 18650 battery charges through a USB Type-C port concealed beneath a protective collar near the head. The aluminum body features an anti-roll design, a two-way pocket clip, and IP68-rated dust and water protection.
The PD32R offers four standard brightness levels, from a 20-lumen Low mode for close-range tasks to a 1,400-lumen Turbo mode for maximum output. Its focused beam provides a balance of brightness and reach, while the lower settings extend battery life for routine use.
| Mode | Output | Runtime | Beam Distance |
| Turbo | 1,400 lumens | 2 hours 20 minutes* | 344 meters |
| High | 350 lumens | 4 hours 25 minutes | 175 meters |
| Medium | 100 lumens | 16 hours 20 minutes | 92 meters |
| Low | 20 lumens | 70 hours | 42 meters |
| Strobe | 1,400 lumens | — | — |
*Turbo runtime includes periods when output is reduced by the flashlight's thermal protection. When using two CR123A batteries, Turbo is unavailable and strobe output is limited to 800 lumens. Actual performance varies with battery type and operating conditions.
The Fenix PD32R includes an ARB-L18-3400 rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3,400mAh. To access the hidden USB Type-C charging port, loosen the collar near the flashlight head as directed in the manual. The charging indicator displays red while charging and green when charging is complete.
The flashlight can also operate with two CR123A lithium batteries. These are non-rechargeable batteries and must never be charged inside the flashlight. With CR123A batteries installed, the Turbo mode is unavailable, maximum beam distance is reduced, and strobe output is lower. For full rated performance, use the recommended Fenix ARB-L18-series battery.
