The Burris Fullfield 6-24x50mm #201560 is designed for hunters and shooters who need substantially more magnification than a traditional hunting riflescope. With a 6-24x magnification range, 50mm objective lens, Ballistic E3 reticle, side-focus parallax adjustment and advanced exposed turrets, this Fullfield is built for long-range hunting, varmint shooting and precision-oriented applications.
The 6x low-power setting provides a useful field of view for target acquisition, while 24x magnification provides the additional detail needed for extended-range shooting. The 50mm objective and Burris high-performance glass help produce a bright, clear image, while multi-coated lenses improve light transmission and reduce glare.
Ballistic E3 Reticle for Long-Range ShootingThe Ballistic E3 reticle is a rear focal plane reticle designed around traditional, magnum and varmint loads. With a 100-yard zero, the lower vertical crosshair provides holdover references calibrated for approximately 200, 300 and 400 yards for an average caliber.
Cascading dots provide additional windage references based on a 10 mph crosswind for an average caliber. Actual bullet drop and windage will vary with the rifle, cartridge, bullet, velocity and environmental conditions, so the reticle's references should be verified with the shooter's specific ballistic data.
Because the Ballistic E3 is a rear focal plane reticle, its appearance and subtensions remain consistent as magnification changes. This provides a familiar aiming reference throughout the 6-24x magnification range.
The 6-24x magnification range is the defining feature of this Fullfield. At 6x, the scope provides a 17-foot field of view at 100 yards, giving the shooter a practical lower-power setting for locating and acquiring targets. At 24x, the field of view narrows to 4.8 feet at 100 yards, providing significantly greater target detail for precision shooting at longer distances.
The 4x zoom system gives the scope considerable versatility despite its high maximum magnification. Shooters can quickly reduce magnification when a wider field of view is needed and increase power when additional target detail becomes important.
The 50mm objective lens is designed to maximize available light and provide a bright sight picture. This is especially useful when using higher magnification, where maintaining a clear and well-lit image becomes increasingly important.
Burris uses high-performance glass and multi-coated lenses throughout the Fullfield. The optical system is designed to provide brightness and clarity while minimizing glare and maintaining performance in challenging lighting conditions.
The Fullfield 6-24x50mm provides an exit pupil ranging from 8.5mm at 6x to 2.9mm at 24x. This combination gives the scope a generous exit pupil at lower magnification while providing the higher magnification necessary for detailed long-range shooting.
The side-focus parallax adjustment on the Fullfield 6-24x50mm operates from 25 yards to infinity. This wide adjustment range allows the scope to be properly focused for everything from relatively close targets to extended-range shooting.
Parallax adjustment becomes particularly important at higher magnification. The side-focus control allows the shooter to refine the optical focus and minimize the apparent movement of the reticle against the target as shooting distance and magnification increase.
Unlike Fullfield models equipped with traditional capped turrets, the #201560 uses advanced exposed elevation and windage turrets. This configuration is particularly useful for shooters who prefer to make deliberate adjustments for changing distances rather than relying exclusively on holdover marks.
The scope uses 1/4 MOA adjustment clicks, with 64 MOA of total elevation adjustment and 50 MOA of total windage adjustment. The exposed turret configuration provides quick access to the adjustments when dialing is part of your shooting system.
The Fullfield is built around a single-piece aluminum body with metal-on-metal components and a double-spring turret system. This construction is designed to withstand heavy use and recoil while maintaining reliable performance in demanding field conditions.
The #201560 uses a 30mm main tube and measures 14.4 inches long. Despite its substantial 6-24x magnification range, Burris's improved 4x zoom system helps keep the scope relatively compact for its class.
Burris Knob Synergy® provides an upgrade path for shooters who want to further customize their elevation adjustment system. Compatible Fullfield scopes can be upgraded with more advanced adjustment configurations, including custom ballistic knobs and zero-click-stop options.
This makes the Fullfield platform adaptable to shooters who may begin with the standard configuration and later want a more specialized ballistic adjustment system.
The Burris Fullfield 6-24x50mm is best suited to shooters who prioritize magnification and target detail over the wider field of view provided by lower-powered hunting scopes. It is particularly well suited to long-range hunting, varmint hunting, target shooting and other applications where precise aiming at extended distances is important.
The combination of 6-24x magnification, a 50mm objective, adjustable parallax and exposed adjustment turrets makes it substantially more specialized for long-range use than the Fullfield 3-12x56mm and 4-16x50mm models. The #201560 is the current Fullfield option for shooters who want the highest magnification in the series.
